Gavel – Community – Corporate Clubs

Toastmasters International offers three types of Clubs
tailored to the diverse needs of its members:

Community Clubs

Community Clubs are open to everyone and are not affiliated with a company.

Individuals who wish to improve their communication and leadership skills come together in Club meetings typically held in a public or private venue.

These Clubs provide a diverse and inclusive environment, encouraging the exchange of experiences and the practical application of the Toastmasters International method in a supportive setting.

Corporate Clubs

Corporate Clubs are sponsored by organizations and primarily recruit members from among company employees.

Companies such as Apple, Airbus, Coca-Cola, Google, Sony, and Dell have established Toastmasters clubs to develop employee communication and leadership skills.

Meetings often take place at the workplace, either during office hours or lunch breaks, making it convenient for employees to participate.

Companies may support these Clubs by providing meeting spaces, covering membership fees, or integrating Toastmasters meetings into their training programs.

Gavel Clubs

Gavel Clubs offer the Toastmasters experience to groups ineligible for regular membership,
often due to age (under 18) or other circumstances.

These Clubs follow protocols similar to traditional Toastmasters Clubs,
using Club officer titles and educational manuals.

Members of Gavel Clubs, known as “Gaveliers,” benefit from a structured environment
to develop their communication and leadership skills.

These Clubs also represent an excellent community service opportunity
for Toastmasters members and existing Clubs.
