Suggested steps to organize an Open House:
Set up a team of committed Toastmasters to help you run the event. Share the Open House documentation with the team. Consider using this event to complete a Level 5 project in your Path or as a High Performance Leadership Project.
With your team, tead and share the “Open House Meetings Organization” manual for guidance and suggestions on how to organize your event more effectively.
With your team, read and share the Toastmasters short manual “From Prospect to Guest to Member” and “Success 101” (electronic version).
Hold a meeting with your team to start planning your event. During or before this meeting, watch the YouTube videos of the Rick Furbush method for running Demo Meetings (see links on this page).
Prepare the agenda for your event, using the “Open House Meeting Agenda” in Word or Excel.
Refer to the article “Stir Up Excitement with an Open House or Demo Meeting” for additional tips.
The Toastmasters International website offers two presentations:
one for Corporate Demo Meetings and one for normal Demo meetings.
Use these resources to make an introductory presentation
of Toastmasters International and Pathways.
